Certificates

Which certificates does WMT provide?

Basically, WMT is approved for Part-21 manufacture and Part-145 maintenance.

Manufacturing with EASA Form 1

In the manufacture, WMT can supply all hose assemblies from Parker Stratoflex according to TSO (Technical Standard Order), as well as hose lines certified by WMT according to ETSO with EASA Form 1.

The article number corresponds to the certified number of Parker Stratoflex or WMT.

We can include a reference to an item number supplied by the customer in the “Remarks” field – field no. 12 of EASA Form 1.

Maintenance with EASA Form 1

Basically, from a technical point of view, the following applies: crimped hose assemblies cannot be overhauled, screwed hose assemblies can be dismantled and overhauled. With a few exceptions, this can be generalized as follows:

  • Teflon cannot be overhauled
  • Rubber can be overhauled

The TC holder must make a specification for the maintenance of hose assemblies. If there is no information (e.g. manuals, TM, references to standards, etc.) on the maintenance of hose assemblies, the aircraft hose lines cannot be overhauled with EASA Form 1.

Maintenance with CoC (Certificate of Conformance)

There are various reasons why hose assemblies should be overhauled. The reason is not always the lowest possible price. In the case of hose assemblies for older aircraft, it may happen that the original parts can no longer be purchased.

Here EASA has created the possibility of using the hose assemblies without EASA Form 1 (EAR 748/2012 21.A.307).

Either:

  • The hose assembly is built according to a standard (the article number in the IPC refers to a standard)

Or:

  • The aircraft belongs to category ELA1 & ELA2 (EasyAcessRules No 748/2012) and the component (the hose assembly):
    • 1. is neither life-limited nor part of the primary structure nor part of the flight controls;
    • 2. is manufactured in accordance with the applicable design;
    • 3. is marked according to suppart Q
    • 4. is identified for installation on the specific aircraft
    • 5. intended to be installed on an aircraft for which the owner has verified compliance with conditions 1 to 4 and has accepted responsibility for compliance.

We deliver these articles with CoC

The CoC does not refer to the TSO / ETSO, it certifies the assembly of the hose assembly according to a standard and refers – if possible – to the original article number.
