Diese Kupplungen bieten schnelle Montage/ Demontage mit selbstdichtenden Anschlüssen für Bodengeräte (GSE – Ground Support Equipment) und andere luftfahrttypische Applikationen. Einfache einhändige Handhabung bei der Montage sowie Demontage mit einer visuellen oder gefühlten Überprüfung der festen/ dichten Verbindung zeichnen diese Kupplung aus. Existierende 3000psi und 1000psi Kupplungen, die folgende Spezifikationen erfüllen können durch sie ersetzt werden:
Die Kupplung zeichnet sich durch sehr gutes Dichten während dem Übergang und im ungekuppelten Zustand als Resultat von elastomeren und thermoplastischen Ventildichtungen aus. Es existieren keine Stellen, an denen Metall auf Metall dichtet.
Ingenieure von kommerziellen Luftfahrzeugen, wie zum Beispiel Boeing und Airbus verlassen sich seit vielen Jahren auf Waterman Sicherungen und Flussregler. Regler begrenzen die Flussrate in hydraulischen Leitungen auf vorherbestimmte Werte, ungeachtet der Variationen von Systemdruck oder Arbeitsbelastung. Waterman Flussregler werden beim Betrieb des Fahrwerks benutzt, wie sie heute in fast allen Luftfahrzeugen von Boeing vorkommen. Sie werden für eine sichere Funktion verwendet.

Indi-lok Kupplungen bieten schnelle Montage/ Demontage mit selbst verschließenden Anschlüssen und sehr gute Leistung während dem alltäglichen Betrieb und der Wartung von Flüssigkeitssystemen. Sie sind mit allen Standardflüssigkeiten und außerdem mit sehr vielen exotischen Flüssigkeiten kompatibel, die heutzutage in Systemen der Luftfahrt, des Bodensupports und Unterseesystemen verwendet werden. Indi-lok Kupplungen sind in einer Vielzahl von Temperatur- und Druckbereichen verfügbar und sie sind empfehlenswert bei Anwendungsbereichen, die schwer zugänglich sind wie zum Beispiel an Stellen, wo eine sichere und dichte Verbindung nur visuell oder fühlbar überprüft werden kann.
Automatikkupplungen sind empfehlenswert für den Gebrauch mit heutigen Präzisions- Flüssigkeitssystemen für die Raumfahrt, Luftfahrt, Bodengeräte und Unterseeanwendungen. Aktuelle Anwendungen beinhalten: elektronische Kühlungssysteme, hydraulische Akkumulatoren/ Zylinder, Bremssysteme, Ansaugsysteme, Dampf Zyklus Systeme und cryogenic systems. Automatische Kupplungen werden am besten dort verwendet, wo Platz begrenzt ist und einfache Handhabung benötigt wird.
Kleinbau- Kupplungen bieten höchste geprüfte Verlässlichkeit mit sehr kompakter Bauweise. Sie sind speziell für Durchfluss-Flüssigkeits- Baugruppen und ähnliche entwickelt worden. Diese Bauteile können selbst in den kleinsten elektronischen Kühlsystemen verwendet werden.

Slide-Lok Kupplungen sind sehr ähnlich zu Indi-Lok Kupplungen mit Ausnahme der mechanischen Anzeiger des Kupplungszustandes bei Indi-lok Systemen. Slide-Lok Kupplungen werden bei Anwendungen wie sie in der militärischen sowie kommerziellen Luftfahrt vorkommen, bei Startrampen von Raketen, Marine Einsatzzwecken, bei Formel 1 Rennwagen als auch bei einer Vielzahl von weiteren Anwendungen verwendet.
Single shut-off Kupplungen sind empfehlenswert beim Einsatz in Flüssigkeitssystemen, bei denen nur eine Seite des Anschlusses ein selbst dichtendes Ventil benötigt. Die single shut-off Kupplungen stimmen überein mit Standardarmaturen und anderen hoch präzisen Luftfahrtarmaturen. Die Kupplungen sind in leichter Bauweise als Aluminium Armaturen für Niederdruck- und als Edelstahl oder Titanium für Hochdruck Anwendungen verfügbar.
Thread-lok Kupplungen unterstützen die heutigen Flüssigkeitssysteme der Luftfahrt mit schnellen Montagen/Demontagen, sie sind selbst dichtend und ermöglichen eine visuelle oder fühlbare Überprüfung von gekuppelten Anschlüssen. Thread-lok Kupplungen bieten die Möglichkeit einhändig zu arbeiten und sehr gute Leistung während dem alltäglichen Betrieb und der Wartung von Flüssigkeitssystemen. Estas válvulas de Symetrics están destinadas para sistemas de abastecimiento de combustible de aviones, que están expuestos a fuerzas de separación. Las válvulas son de particular interés para aplicaciones en combustibles, en las que los fluidos deben ser retenidos para evitar el peligro de incendio en caso de un aterrizaje brusco o colisión.
El típico uso de las válvulas de ruptura es en conductos de carburantes, tanques de combustible principales y periféricos, sistemas de reabastecimiento en vuelo y depósitos desprendibles. Por otro lado, los conductos del tanque emplean con frecuencia la versión de válvula única.
Instalación sin complicaciones
Los accesorios pueden rotar libremente durante el montaje, evitando así pares de torsión que podrían afectar el conducto. En el caso raro que se causaran daños durante el mantenimiento, los cuales podrían provocar una pequeña separación u obturación de la válvula, aparecerá una arandela roja en la pequeña ventana de plástico. Esta arandela de muelle circular, de 360 grados, indica que la válvula está cerrada.
Los conectores giratorios (Swivel Joints) para alta presión (4000 psig) de Symetrics se construyen para sistemas neumáticos y de fluidos, en los cuales es necesaria la torsión entre los conductos. El enchufe se caracteriza por una muy buena estanqueidad durante la transición y estando desconectado como resultado de las juntas de elastómeros y termopláticas de la válvula. No existe ningún punto de estanqueidad entre metal y metal.

Proven lifesavers, Stratoflex breakaway valves separate under crash loads on fluid lines exceeding a predetermine value. Upon separation, the valves automatically seal the fluids in the lines to effectively prevent spills. Breakaway valves are typically used on fuel lines, main fuel tanks, aircraft auxiliary fuel tanks, air-to-air refueling systems, and fall away external tanks. Tank vent lines often use the single valve versions.
Trouble Free Installation
End fittings are free to swivel during installation, preventing torque from being transmitted to the fused section. They also permit easy bolt hole alignment of flange mounted couplings. In the rare event of damage during maintenance, which may cause minor separation and valve closure, a red spring retainer moves forward and becomes visible through the plastic window, 360 degrees around the coupling, indicating a closed valve. The Stratoflex design allows the fuse elements, which control separation, to be replaced at nominal cost.
Symetrics high-pressure (4000 PSIG) swivel joints are used in liquid or pneumatic systems where torsional rotation between lines is necessary. Typical installations include; retractable landing gears, cargo door actuators and any pivoting pressure line. Unproblematische Installation
Armaturen können sich bei der Montage frei drehen, dabei werden Drehmomente die auf die Leitungen wirken könnten vermieden. Im seltenen Fall einer Beschädigung während der Wartung – welche eine kleine Trennung oder Ventilverschluss hervorrufen könnte – tritt ein roter Ring in das kleine Plastik Fenster. Dieser 360 Grad runde Federring deutet auf ein geschlossenes Ventil hin.
